St. Joe's Welcomes New Principal Anthony J. Quilici!

It's official: St. Joe's School has a new principal! Fr. Gerald J. Funke, Rector of St. John's Cathedral, announced Wednesday that Anthony J. Quilici will head up the school starting this fall. Fr. Jerry hired Quilici based on the unanimous recommendation of the Principal Selection Committee.

Quilici comes to St. Joseph's with fine credentials and outstanding recommendations. He has an M.A. in Education from the University of Idaho, taught English for one year at Meridian High School and taught the same subject for 10 more years at Borah High School. For the past four years, he has served in Catholic education as Assistant Principal of Bishop Kelly High School.

In addition to his M.A., he holds a B.A. in English Teaching from Boise State University and an Education Specialist credential in Educational Leadership (Superintendent) from the University of Idaho.

An Idaho native, Quilici enjoys spending time with his family, as well as running, swimming, boating, playing, hiking, camping and snow-shoeing. Quilici is the husband of departing St. Joe's Principal Dr. Sarah Quilici.

St. Joseph's Catholic School has a 120-year tradition of providing an excellent Catholic education to countless area students. The school educates more than 400 students annually in grades kindergarten through eighth.

St. Joe's is the cathedral school of the diocese, affiliated with The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist and located on the same campus in Boise.
