May 11 and 12—Second Collection for Christians in Syria
May 8, 2019
At all Masses this weekend (May 11-12), we will have a second collection taken up by St. John’s Knights of Columbus in support of Christian families in the Middle East.
In the Middle East, persecuted Christians are facing genocide and have been forced to flee their homes. Catholic priests, parishioners and other Christians have been kidnapped, beaten, tortured and murdered for their faith.
The Knights of Columbus has responded with the Christian Refugee Relief Fund, which directs 100% of all donations to benefit persecuted Christians, and those in their care, especially in the Middle East. Since 2014 the Knights of Columbus has committed approximately $25 million to helping Christians and others targeted by ISIS for genocide in the Middle East. Mass graves of Christians have been documented in Syria by Aid to the Church in Need.
St. John's Knights of Columbus ask for your prayerful consideration in donating to the Christians at Risk Fund this weekend. Your support is greatly appreciated!
