  • Tuesday Afternoon Bible Study

    Tuesday Oct 1, 2019 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

This study will be on the last book of the Bible: Revelations by Jeff Cavins. “Perhaps no book in the Bible fascinates people more than this one, yet relatively few people have studied it especially from a Catholic perspective.” It begins Sept. 24 for ten weeks, in the Queen of Peace room from 1-3PM. Workbooks cost $26.95 plus shipping and can be ordered at AscensionPress.com where you can sign up online (or call 800-376-0520 to place your order). This session is facilitated by Anita Bokan. Order early to hit the ground running!

  • Gospel of St. John Reflection

    Tuesday Oct 1, 2019 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Currently underway and continuing into the Fall is the reflection on the Gospel of St. John from 7-8PM in the Cathedral Hall. The Gospel of John stands apart from the other three “synoptic” gospels, for if Matthew’s primary audience was the Hebrews, Mark’s was written for the Romans, and Luke’s was designed to address the Greeks, then John’s narrative emerges far more expansive: about 90% of its material is not found in the other three gospels. There’s a reason his traditional symbol is the eagle because of soaring rhetoric. This session is primarily facilitated by Fr. Dominique. Bring your favorite Holy Bible to follow along!
