Gospel of St....

Gospel of St. John Reflection

  • Date: Tuesday, November 5, 2019
  • Time: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Description: Currently underway and continuing into the Fall is the reflection on the Gospel of St. John from 7-8PM in the Cathedral Hall. The Gospel of John stands apart from the other three “synoptic” gospels, for if Matthew’s primary audience was the Hebrews, Mark’s was written for the Romans, and Luke’s was designed to address the Greeks, then John’s narrative emerges far more expansive: about 90% of its material is not found in the other three gospels. There’s a reason his traditional symbol is the eagle because of soaring rhetoric. This session is primarily facilitated by Fr. Dominique. Bring your favorite Holy Bible to follow along!
