Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise | Cathedral dedicated 1921

Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist

Welcome to the Roman Catholic Cathedral Parish of St. John the Evangelist. Our parish was founded in 1876, and when our Diocese of Boise (that embraces the State of Idaho) was established, St. John's became the Cathedral or "cathedra" (chair) of the Bishop. Going on a century and a half we have been the spiritual home for generations of Catholics--and for you too if you wish. We invite you into our faith community. It's YOUR Cathedral!
