Welcome
The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist strives to make the supreme law of the Catholic Church her own mission as well: “the salvation of souls, which must always be the supreme law in the Church, is to be kept before everyone’s eyes.”
Pastor's Welcome
Welcome to the Roman Catholic Cathedral Parish of St. John the Evangelist. Our parish was founded in 1876, and when our Diocese of Boise (that in our case embraces the State of Idaho) was established, St. John's became the Cathedral ("cathedra" or chair) of the Bishop. The beautiful sandstone Cathedral in downtown Boise was dedicated in 1921, the mother church for the state of Idaho.
