The Legion of Mary is a worldwide Catholic lay apostolic association devoted to serving Jesus Christ through the guidance and example of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Members seek to grow in holiness through prayer, service, and works of evangelization.
At the Cathedral, the Legion of Mary provides an opportunity for parishioners to deepen their relationship with Christ, grow in devotion to Mary, and bring Christ's love to others through prayer and service.
What Does the Legion of Mary Do?
Members participate in a variety of spiritual and apostolic works, which may include:
- Home Prayer Visits
Members visit homes to pray with and for those who request spiritual support, remembering always that each person we serve is made in the image of Christ.
- Charity & Service
The Legion collaborates with other parish ministries to participate in charitable works and respond to the needs of our community.
- Marian Devotion
Members deepen their devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary through prayer, fellowship, and service.
- Prayer for Others
Through our prayers and apostolic work, we seek to bring Christ's love and encouragement to those who need it.
Our Mission
The mission of the Legion of Mary is to help its members grow in holiness while serving the Church and those in need.
Through prayer, fellowship, and apostolic works, members strive to follow Mary's example of faith, humility, and willingness to say yes to God.
The Legion seeks to bring Christ to others through both spiritual and practical works of mercy.

Who Can Participate?
The Legion of Mary welcomes Catholic men and women who desire to grow in their faith through prayer and service.
Active Members
Active stewards attend the Legion's weekly devotional meeting every Friday at 7:00 PM and participate in the ministry's works of prayer and service.
Auxilliary Members
Supports the Legion through Prayer, particularly by praying the Catena Legionis (Legion prayers) each day.
No weekly meeting or apostolic obligations required.

The Legion of Mary is an opportunity to put faith into action. Whether through a home prayer visit, charitable service, or simply committing to pray for others, every act of service can become an opportunity to bring Christ's love to another person.
